Senior Quality Controller (d/f/m)

Our Team is spread across Europe, with a Studio Office in Berlin and a production Office in northern Portugal.
ABOUT THE JOB
At MIKUTA, we are raising the bar for product quality—and we’re looking for an experienced Quality Controller (d/f/m) to help us get there. As part of our Product Development team, you will play a key role in elevating our quality standards and ensuring every piece reflects the craftsmanship and consistency that define our brand.
With a strong eye for detail and in-depth technical knowledge of garment construction, you will oversee and refine quality control throughout the entire production process—from pre-production to final output. Your expertise will help us identify issues early, implement improvements, and drive a culture of quality across our supply chain.
This is a hands-on role for someone who brings both experience and a proactive mindset to quality control in fashion production.
Key Responsibilities:
Production monitoring throughout the production process to ensure they meet specifications, including stitching, construction and labels.
Pre-production checks reviewing design details, size charts and fabric swatched before production begins to prevent issues.
In-line inspections conducting quality checks at key stages like cutting, stitching, and finishing.
Perform quality audits, identify defects, and recommend improvements.
Investigate quality issues and work with the production team to find solutions.
Keep records of inspections to ensure traceability and accountability.
ABOUT YOU
Background in Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Engineering or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years in quality control within the fashion industry or a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with industry-standard quality control practices with a strong understanding of garment production processes, fabrics, trims and finishes.
Strong attention to detail.
Problem-solving, effective communication and time management skills.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
